India and Bangladesh quest in Asia Cup

India and Bangladesh will be competing against each other for the Asia Cup title on 6th of March.

While Bangladesh has never been the Asian Champions before, India has won this prestigious title on 5 occasions and the men in Blue would be the favourites in Sunday’s game too.

Nobody would count out Bangladesh that easily though as they know their own conditions pretty well and have already hunted down a couple of big boys in the tournament in the form of Pakistan and Sri Lanka.

India, however, looks a bit too hot for them, but, with their energy and crowd support, this current Bangladeshi team is good enough to pull off anything.

India has been the team of the tournament so far, defeating everyone rather dominatingly and they still have a game to go against the United Arab Emirates before the final which would probably serve as a good practice for them.

However, when they had been made to play on a green wicket against Bangladesh in the tournament opener, they had been a little shaky and had it not been for that Rohit-Pandya blitz, it could have been quite a close game.

But, would Bangladesh be willing to prepare another similar wicket for the final? That’s the question because it’s their batsmen too who would have to bat on that wicket and they have not been that good against swing and seam either.

So, it would be a little tricky for them to go for a grassy wicket again.

India should be able to adjust on any sort of surface. They would prefer grassless wickets yes, but, there is a lot of balance everywhere in that line up and there are players who can stand up in any conditions.
